An Eco-Friendly Lodge in Greater Kruger
About Cheetah Paw
OUR STORY & SUSTAINABLE VALUES
Located within the Guernsey Private Nature Reserve, Cheetah Paw Safari Lodge offers a relaxed bush getaway focused on personal hospitality, sustainable operations, and original African surroundings. Founded by hosts with a lifelong passion for wildlife, our lodge provides visitors from around the world with an authentic, direct connection to the Greater Kruger region.
Our property operates without internal fences, allowing native plains game to move freely across the terrain. To support local wildlife during dry winter seasons, we constructed two natural waterholes on the grounds. Zebras, giraffes, kudu, and impalas regularly visit these water sources, giving guests direct views of grazing animals right from their rooms and private decks.
Because Cheetah Paw sits inside a non-Big-5 reserve, guests enjoy the rare advantage of exploring the grounds safely on foot. You can walk designated pathways, track bird species, and experience the bush environment at your own pace. On-site dining emphasizes fresh, home-cooked meals prepared daily using locally sourced ingredients from regional Lowveld suppliers.
We maintain a low environmental impact by powering our facilities with solar energy, running active recycling programs, and utilizing eco-friendly materials alongside custom local timber furniture. Through regular monthly contributions to regional conservation initiatives, every stay directly supports habitat preservation and anti-poaching efforts across the surrounding reserve network.
